In 2025, Susan (Nona's Sister) and her hubby Dave Burhman, ​moved to Haecker Farm to help us sort through 150 years of farm remnants and begin to formulate a plan for what the farm can be in its next chapter. Dave discovered a colony of bees living in an old Farm All tractor gear box and immediately (got stung) and became fascinated. It wasn't long before he suited up to help rehome a swarm and was hooked. Dave's keen eye from decades of master carpentry is a huge asset in all phases of bee keeping. Nona is especially grateful for the Burhman Grip he developed for uncapping honey frames!
