In this hands-on beeswax experience, you’ll learn what beeswax actually is, how bees make it, and why it’s the most precious resource in the hive. You'll leave with a whole new appreciation for the sweet science of the hive.

Beeswax is the most precious resource in the hive—and once you understand what it takes to make it, you’ll never look at a candle the same way again. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore what beeswax actually is, how young worker bees produce it, and why it costs the colony so much energy to create.

I’ll walk you through how I render beeswax and share the many magical ways to use it—from body care to beautiful, functional candles. You’ll learn the tips, tricks, and tools that make projects successful (and avoid the sticky mistakes I’ve already made). I also share my trusted sources for supplies and ingredients, plus recipes so you can confidently recreate everything at home.

Each participant will roll their own set of beeswax candles to take home, and we’ll taste different varieties of honey to experience how nectar source shapes flavor.
